Challenges for Change — Legislative History

(Sounds about right. – promoted by GMD)

Legislative counsel, in conjunction with the Douglas adminstration’s media outreach advisory committee and with the input of the legislative committee on strategic oversight, after considering the recommendation of a Blue.Ribbon.Tiger.Evlsin.Review.Board.Subcommittee.Panel.Of.Public.Disclosure.Optics, has just released the video tapes of THE Challenges for Change” (Act 68) legislative history.

This Challenges for Change highlight video sums up the serious consideration the Douglas administration and our conscientious legislators gave this important curve bending, paradigm shifting optimization of Tiger-Teamed jargon helmetted flash whizz Change-You-Can-Govern-With bureaucratic deliverablility efficiency program on a Popsicle stick.

Did GMD Pay Him or Plant a Chip in His Head?

I know I’m not the only person thinking this. How did GMD convince Patrick Cashman to kneel at the alter of the liberal juggernaut?

One thing is certain, General Cashman is definitely wearing his GMD kneepads on the pages of the Times Argus as he publicly gargles the precious bodily fluids of GMD’s muscular political influence. What did you guys pay him for servicing you so well?

Let’s take the good soldier’s awestruck laments and full-throated bell ringers from the top shall we:

To quote Patrick “Major Mouthful” Cashman:

The listing of Green Mountain Daily by The Times Argus as Best Political Web site raises an important question

what everyone reads is:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . . “best political web site”

Thank you sir, may I have another!

And he is just getting warmed up……..

Next

GMD is stridently left of center

Message everyone:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . . GMD is “strident.” It sticks to its convictions.

Thank you sir may I have another!

If this were merely individual citizens having an online discussion…

Message everyone:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . .  GMD is not just “individual citizens having an online discussion,” no way baby, these folks are the BOMB!

Thank you sir, may I have another!

Look at those elected officials donating the one currency that really matters, access. Sen. Sanders provided a one-on-one interview, so has Senator Patrick Leahy as has Congressman Peter Welch. Burlington representative and possible lieutenant governor candidate David Zuckerman frequently posts and other Democratic, Progressive and even Republican leaders are registered members of GMD and submit content

Message everyone:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . .  Wanna see my picture on the cover — Wanna buy five copies for my mother — Wanna see my smilin’ face — On the cover of the Rollin’ Stone.

Step right up, who’s next and

Thank you sir, may I have another!

GMD appears to have unfettered access to numerous state employees

Message everyone:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . .   Several of GMD’s writers live in the Montpelier area and they know their way around state government like every other civic minded citizen.

Ooooooo, thank you sir, may I have another!

With a critical governor’s campaign ahead, please contact your representatives, and those who seek to be your representatives, and demand they avert their gaze from GMD.

Message everyone:  blahblahblahblahblahblah . . . . . . .  Don’t look back and cast your gaze upon GMD.  You’ll turn into a pillar of salt!  Shit, just last week, Mark Shepard failed to avert his gaze, caught a glimpse of GMD and BOOOM, he was turned into a gay newt.  (he got better, of course).

Thank you GMD, may Pat have another!

There you have it folks. Direct from Major Mouthful General Pat take.that.hill Cashman. GMD is strident, influential, left of center, over-accessed and, worst best of all, gubernatorial candidates are powerless in the face of GMD’s Black Hole like gravitational pull.

Quite an endorsement.

YUP, this is an “Open Thread” [UPDATE THIS]

(Promoted from Diaries)

++ Vermont Has the Highest Percentage of Armed Socialist Veteran Farmers who Support Universal Health Care and Vote Democratic of any state in the country including D.C., and Texas regardless of whether it secedes.

The Article also states that New York is the 8th most Democratic and Vermont is 5th.  Vermont outranks Illinois!

Fifty-five percent of New Yorkers say they consider themselves to be Democrats, compared to 30 percent who identify themselves as Republicans. The resulting difference of 25 percentage points is the eighth-largest margin in favor of the Democratic Party.

The District of Columbia, treated as a state by the Gallup Poll, is No. 1

(snip)

Runners-up are ………Vermont (28 points) and Illinois (26 points).

So Vermont is # 5.  Not bad for a State with a strong Liberty Union, Progressive, Libertarian, Independent voters, and various other 3rd party voters AND an open primary.

………

ps.  Kidding about the Socialists with Assault Rifles. But don’t be surprised about the polling info snuck into cross tabs.

++ Are there any other non-diary topics that are worth a discussion in the comments?  Anything I need to add into this diary since it was promoted and is now an “Official Open Thread”?

Pile on!

How about this: “President” Obama really is a Martian, or something like that.
