2012, and what has really changed?

Some have tried to argue that the election of Barack Obama has ushered in a post-racial society. Others have angrily disputed charges of racism on the part of President Obama's opponents.

This might be a good time to let the facts speak for themselves, eh? Take a look at this post from Mother Jones, and look closely at the two pictures

One of them is an actual photograph of President Obama. The other is the same photo as published by a right-wing anti-Obama group called Vets for a Strong America.

Do you notice any difference?

Now tell me you think racism has nothing to do with the opposition to President Obama.

  1. In the first photo, the flag is maroon grey and black???   I guess you can’t distort one part of life without distorting the remainder of life.   The law of unintended consequences?

  2. to expose the deep-seated racism that is still very much a part of the fabric of America.

  3. I guess soon they’ll have Obama in an Afro waving a .357 magnum out of his Presidential limo on his way to do a Presidential drive-by shooting.  Nah…that would offend the NRA.

How ’bout him waving a crack pipe in a pimp outfit with a carpetbag?  In a basketball outfit using a globe as his ball?

Or the Huey Newton panthers’ Minister Of Defense image–Obama sitting in a chair in the Oval office holding a shotgun in one hand and a spear in the other.

Yes, honkies…the boats are on their way from Africa.  Thousands of them.  Only this time, they aim to make you slaves.

I expect to soon see Limbaugh doing a show in blackface.
