Salmon was bored practically before he even got there and had to change parties to briefly enliven his own interest in the job before he, inevitably, got distracted again. He only regarded the office as a stepping stone to some other job which never came along.

Iluzzi also seems to regard it as just another job-opening to be filled.

Let's finally have someone in there whose interest in the job is genuine and undivided!

How much does Jim Douglas get from the state in pension payments? Does he have health care with the state? Mr. I loathe public employees living high off the taxpayer?

But he got awfully close to the action. Seems odd that they wouldn't ask a civilian to stay away, and I wonder why no-one questioned the take down? Could have been a fight... do these guys carry identification that any citizen can request to see? How do you know if you are tackled by some rough looking dude that he's legit...

Failure to appear results in forfeiture of bond and order of arrest without warrant. I'm sure if a cop saw the accused somewhere they might apprehend, but I think the surety agent has a greater incentive to track 'em down, even in the good times.

But I'm not a lawyer, cop or bondsman, so what the hell do I know?

I just wanted to apologize for getting carried away and disparaging Jessica. She and I have had plenty of knock down, drag out arguments, but I didn't need to make things personal.
