Quick Bring me Howard's brain

by: BP

Fri Jun 17, 2011 at 17:30:00 PM EDT

New DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) made remarks today at the Netroots Nation gathering praising Howard Dean’s tenure as DNC Chairman.
“Over the past few years, we’ve maintained a strong democratic organization staffed in all 50 states thanks to the 50-state strategy put in place by Howard Dean,” Wasserman Schultz said. “And I can tell you that I am looking forward to sitting down with Chairman Dean next week so I can pick his brains clean on what he thinks that we should be doing to continue the fight to make sure that we can elect progressives all across the country.”
I would bet Howard’s brain, if requested has been available for picking for the past two years or more. Better late than never but wonder if this isn’t an effort at getting all the ducks in a row. I understand there is an election coming up.

Remember when? (0.00 / 0)
Remember when Dean was in the lead two weeks before the Iowa caucus?  The media loved him by framing him as the awe-shucks from Vermont candidate.

Well he was getting too hot and The Powers That Be ordered him out of the race.  The media dutifully latched onto the first thing that came their way, the famous Scream.  Based on nothing, they did to Dean the same thing they did to Weiner: took down a serious Real Democrat.  These are people that won't be a stooge for the ruling class, like Obama and the DCCC (to name a random two).

So, sure Dean can run, but unless he's sold his soul to the Keepers of the Gate, the media will get their orders to remove him from the race at some point.

Dean not running (0.00 / 0)
As far as I know, Howard Dean is not running or contemplating running for anything in 2012. The reference was to picking his brain for a successful strategy to regain the House - something like the 50-state strategy, which Tim Kaine and Rahm Emanuel gutted, leaving state parties' budgets in disarray.

Wasserman-Schultz at least recognizes the value of the strategy.

just now thought of this line. Dr. McCoy from an episode that invariably ends up on worst 10 TOS episode lists.

Huh? (0.00 / 0)
A Democrat is giving Dean credit for the 50 State Strategy?  I thought that was all Rahm and Chuck (who dismissed it before 2006)?

Is that why the party decided to not follow suit in 2010?

Fuckwits.

What? (4.00 / 1)
You mean actually showing up to a race is a necessary part of winning?

Not in Canada, apparently.
