Ben Cohen redecorates his vehicle for Obama

by: JulieWaters

Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 06:50:54 AM EST

From Vermonters for Obama:

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, co-founders of Ben and Jerry's, publically announced their endorsement of Barack Obama for President today. Joined by U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy, the former John Edwards supporters said they believe Barack Obama is the best candidate to unite America and finally tackle the challenges facing our nation.

The funny thing about this is that I recognize that vehicle.  It was the "true majority" car a couple months ago-- it had the pie chart from True Majority on it where the Obama logo is now.  Ben brought this to a couple Edwards events I attended in January.

Oh, and is it just me, or is anyone else really amused by the cow in the middle of the Obama logo?

Those are some of weirdest-looking cars that I've seen. (0.00 / 0)
The aerodynamics must be a killer.  Has anyone else seen some TV ads from Obama tailored for VT?  I've been seeing some on TNT recently.

Be excellent to each other and party on dudes!

Wonder what the environmental impact of these rigs are? (3.00 / 2)
Between the repainting, removing and disposing of the old decals, creating and applying the new decals, and driving them around can't be all that good for Mother Earth.  But then again, if you get the message out, it doesn't matter the cost

What you don't know... (3.00 / 1)
is that Ben and Jerry's actually had a new ice cream flavor coming out to honor John McCain, but nobody could figure out how to make an ice cream with a prune juice swirl marketable.

Creamy, Pepsin (or some other flavor that used to be in vogue 50 years ago)flavored ice cream with a prune juice swirl, chunks of ex-lax chocolate and bits of those round hard candy balls.

Just Wait (3.00 / 2)
You guys are incredibly ageist. Just because McCain is both old and ridiculous doesn't mean that old = ridiculous. Those of us over 50 on this blog don't think it's so funny to mock the man simply because of his age. He was ridiculous before he was old. Age has nothing to do with it. Ted Kennedy is 4 1/2 years older than McCain, you mocking him?

You just wait.

No, (3.50 / 2)
I was waiting for the 'ageist' argument to come up. Actually, I revere older people due in part to the wisdom they often hold. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to McCain... his ideas are old and stale. So is he.
I could probably find plenty to mock about Ted Kennedy, but most of that has nothing to do with age.

Does this rig have Iowa plates on it?

I mean, if it were going to drive around Chittenden County with New Jersey plates, that's probably logical and in-offensive to those people.  But Iowa? What's the connection there?
